Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch strips
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, chili sauce, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Add the chicken strips to the mixture and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the canola oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade and dredge in the flour mixture. Shake off any excess flour.
  6. Carefully add the chicken strips to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
