Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup raisins
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Gradually stir in flour mixture until blended. Mix in raisins.
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
