Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 8 equal squares.
  3. Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth. Divide the mixture among the pastry squares.
  4. Top each pastry square with a sprinkle of walnuts.
  5. Beat the egg and milk together and brush the egg wash onto the edges of the pastry squares.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm.
