This Thai shrimp and sugar snap peas stir-fry is a perfect combination of sweet and savory flavors. Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Cooked white rice for serving

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add shrimp to the pan and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Add sugar snap peas and red bell pepper to the pan. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  5. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
