  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the green peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Rinse them under cold water.

  4. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
  5. Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  6. Place the hollowed green peppers in a baking dish and fill each pepper with the beef and rice mixture.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. After 30 minutes, remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the stuffed peppers.
