Ingredients

  • 1 sponge cake, sliced into thin layers
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat together the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
