Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
Directions
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Add the tomato puree, green chilies, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Cover the pan and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the yogurt and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
