Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. Add the tomato puree, green chilies, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Cover the pan and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Stir in the yogurt and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
