Ingredients

  • 2 lbs salmon fillets
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup plum sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the fillets are coated with the marinade. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine the hoisin sauce, plum sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is heated through and well combined.
  5. Remove the salmon from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Discard the remaining marinade.
  6. Brush the salmon fillets with the hoisin and plum sauce glaze, making sure to cover them evenly.
  7. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  9. Garnish the salmon with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Serve hot with steamed rice and your favorite vegetable.
  10. Enjoy!
