Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup mixed nuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 package (17.3 ounces) puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped nuts, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to a 1/4-inch thickness. Using a round cutter or glass, cut out circles from the puff pastry.
- Spoon a small amount of the chicken and nut mixture onto the center of each puff pastry circle.
- Fold the edges of the puff pastry circle over the filling, creating a half-moon shape. Press the edges firmly to seal the puffs.
- Place the filled puffs onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops of the puffs with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the puffs are puffed up and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. These chicken nut puffs can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Serve the puffs as an appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce.
