Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 quart chocolate ice cream
  • 1 quart strawberry ice cream
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup chocolate sauce
  • 1/4 cup strawberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup nuts, chopped
  • Sprinkles for garnish

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until well combined.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  3. Place the pan in the freezer for about 15 minutes to set the crust.
  4. Meanwhile, take out the vanilla ice cream and let it soften at room temperature for a few minutes.
  5. Spread the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the crust using a spatula.
  6. Return the pan to the freezer for about 30 minutes to harden the vanilla ice cream layer.
  7. Repeat the process with the chocolate and strawberry ice cream layers, freezing each layer for 30 minutes before adding the next.
  8. Once all the ice cream layers are added and frozen, remove the cake from the freezer.
  9. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to make it easier to remove from the pan.
  10. Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan.
  11. Top the cake with a generous amount of whipped cream, drizzle with chocolate and strawberry sauces, and sprinkle with chopped nuts and sprinkles.
  12. Place the cake back in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  13. Before serving, let the cake thaw slightly at room temperature for about 5 minutes.
  14. Slice and serve this delightful and luscious easy ice cream cake to enjoy!
