Ingredients
- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

- 1 cup of seltzer water
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Add the seltzer water and mix until a thick batter is formed.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

- Remove the shrimp from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
