Ingredients
- 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the broccoli and cauliflower florets in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the flour and whisk until smooth. Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thickened and bubbly.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the cheese. Pour the cheese sauce over the broccoli and cauliflower.
- Sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbling.
