Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup frozen corn kernels
  • 1 (15 ounce) can creamed corn
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in butter, milk and egg until just blended.
  3. Spread mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with corn kernels and creamed corn. Top with shredded cheese.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
