Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan with butter and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
