Ingredients
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
- Pinch of salt
Directions
- In a saucepan, combine whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla bean, and salt.
- Warm the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Remove the vanilla bean pod and scrape out the seeds. Add the seeds back into the mixture.
