Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (2 ounces) unsalted butter
- 3 ounces continental chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the chocolate and stir until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat until combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add to the chocolate mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the walnuts. Pour into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
