Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cream cheese syrup

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and egg. Add the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  3. Heat a waffle iron to medium-high heat. Grease lightly with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the waffle iron and spread it evenly. Sprinkle with the sugars and close the lid. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the waffle is golden brown and crisp.
