In a large bowl, combine the beef, pork, cabbage, onion, carrots, mushrooms, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.
Lay out a dumpling wrapper on a flat surface and place 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Wet the edges with a little water.
Fold the wrapper in half to form a half-moon shape and press the edges together to seal.
Repeat with the remaining filling and wrappers.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the dumplings in batches and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
Serve hot with soy sauce for dipping.
