6 cups cubed stale bread
3 cups whole milk

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, milk, sugar, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract; stir until all of the bread is evenly coated.
Stir in the chocolate chips and melted butter. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
Allow to cool before serving.
