Ingredients

  • 1 cup of butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cookie sheet or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the flour mixture to the creamed butter and mix until combined.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and chocolate chips.
  6. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and place on the prepared cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly browned.
  8. Cool the cookies on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
