Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3-4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs, and beat until fluffy. Stir in the mashed bananas, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, and mix until all ingredients are incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, and bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  6. Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
