Ingredients
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup honey
Directions
In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the butter, buttermilk and honey.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Heat a waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Spray the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray.
Pour the batter onto the waffle iron and close the lid.
Cook until the cornbread is golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes.
Remove the cornbread from the waffle iron and let cool.
Serve warm with butter and honey.
