Ingredients
4 chicken leg quarters
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil

Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Rub chicken quarters with the seasoning mixture.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken quarters and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes per side.
Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until combined. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Whisk in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened.
Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon the Parmesan sauce over the top. Serve warm.

The Parmesan sauce for this dish is similar to a classic white sauce, or béchamel sauce.
Chicken leg quarters are an economical cut of chicken, and are great for roasting and baking.
