Ingredients

  • 4 chicken leg quarters
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Rub chicken quarters with the seasoning mixture.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken quarters and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until combined. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  7. Whisk in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened.
  8. Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon the Parmesan sauce over the top. Serve warm.
