Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

Directions
In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the tomato sauce, oregano, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the water and macaroni and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the macaroni is tender, about 10 minutes.
Serve with shredded cheddar cheese, if desired.
