Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and honey together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.
