Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 30 round wonton wrappers
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the pork, cabbage, carrots, onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, sugar, pepper, and garlic.
  2. Mix together until ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean work surface.
  4. Put 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center of each wrapper.
  5. Using your finger, wet the edges of the wrappers with water.
  6. Fold the wrappers in half to form a half-moon shape.
  7. Pinch the edges together to seal. If desired, you can use a fork to crimp the edges.
  8. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  9. Add the pot-stickers to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
  10. Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover with a lid.
  11. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 8 minutes.
  12. Uncover the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until the pot-stickers are golden brown and crispy.
  13. Serve warm.
