Ingredients

  • 2 quarts of water
  • 1/4 cup of white wine
  • 2 tablespoons of white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons of prepared horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. In a large pot, combine the water, wine, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Add the lemon slices and bring the mixture to a boil.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the pot and place in a bowl of ice water to cool.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and parsley. Mix until well-combined.
  5. Drain the shrimp and place them in a serving bowl. Top the shrimp with the cocktail sauce and garnish with additional parsley, if desired.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy!
