Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie crust
  • 2 cups fresh pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup evaporated milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt. Beat in eggs and evaporated milk until smooth.
  3. Pour into the prepared pie crust.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and continue baking for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool before serving.
