Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. Add the olive oil and warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape into balls.
  6. Roll each ball of dough into a 7-inch circle.
  7. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the pitas for 2 minutes per side.
  8. Remove from heat and enjoy!
