Ingredients

  • 1 lb carrots, sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. Boil carrots in a pot of water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent.
  4. Stir in flour and gradually add milk, stirring until smooth and thickened.
