Ingredients

  • 6-8 apples
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Wash and dry the apples. Push a wooden stick into the top of each apple.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, corn syrup, and condensed milk. Stir until combined.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Let boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Dip the apples into the caramel, turning to coat. Place the apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Let the apples cool completely before serving.
