Ingredients
2 packages active dry yeast
2 cups warm water
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
4 tablespoons butter, melted
7-8 cups all-purpose flour
Directions
In a large bowl, combine yeast, water, sugar, salt, and butter.
Add 4 cups of the flour and mix until combined.
Add the remaining flour 1 cup at a time. Mix until dough is smooth and elastic.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes.
Shape the dough into a ball and place in a greased bowl, turning once to coat the surface of the dough.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough in half.
Shape each half into a loaf and place in two greased 9x5 inch loaf pans.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool before slicing.
