Ingredients
- 3 cups potatoes, cubed
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons caraway seed
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add in the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the flour, caraway seed, and paprika, and cook for one minute.
- Add the chicken broth and potatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 25 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
- Stir in the cream and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
