Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Sift together the baking powder, salt, and flour, and add to the wet mixture. Stir until just blended.
- Fold in the apples and pecans. Spread the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then spread the caramel sauce over the top. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
