Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina
- 1/2 cup plain yoghurt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon rose water
- 1 teaspoon orange blossom water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan with vegetable oil.
- In a medium bowl, combine the semolina, yoghurt, vegetable oil, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, rose water, orange blossom water, and cardamom. Mix until evenly combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan. Drizzle the remaining syrup over the top and sprinkle with chopped pistachios. Serve warm or at room temperature.
