Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in melted butter.
  3. Mix in sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Beat in flour, oats, and walnuts until well blended.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  6. Allow bread to cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
