Ingredients
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups milk

Directions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch until completely blended.
In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it begins to boil. Remove from heat.
Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture while whisking constantly.
Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour into individual dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Before serving, top with fresh fruit.
