Ingredients
- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 1 jar pasta sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the ziti and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
- Drain the ziti and return it to the pot. Add the pasta sauce and stir to combine.
- In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, one cup of the mozzarella cheese, the Parmesan cheese, and the basil. Mix until combined.
- Spread half of the ziti mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread the cheese mixture over the top, then top with the remaining ziti mixture.
- Sprinkle the remaining cup of mozzarella cheese over the top. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
