Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 (16-ounce) cans whole kernel corn, drained
- 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth, and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Slowly pour in milk, and stir until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and garlic powder.
- Stir in corn, and transfer mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle cheese over the top.
- Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
