Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
Add the sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
Add the vanilla extract and chopped nuts (optional).
Using your hands, roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
