Ingredients

  • 1 lb of white fish fillet
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of rice wine
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh cilantro

Directions

  1. Place the fish fillet in a shallow dish.
  2. Mix together the soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil, rice wine, vegetable oil, sugar, and water in a small bowl.
  3. Pour the sauce over the fish and make sure it is evenly distributed.
  4. Place the fish in a steamer basket and steam for 15 minutes.
  5. Garnish the steamed fish with cilantro.
  6. Serve the steamed fish with steamed vegetables or plain white rice.
