Ingredients

  • 3 cups cubed white bread
  • 2 cups diced apples (2 medium apples)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, apple cider, heavy cream, raisins, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and mix until everything is combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
