Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine water, 1/4 cup sugar, and yeast. Allow to stand for 10 minutes or until foamy.
  2. Stir in the melted butter, eggs, flour, salt, and cinnamon until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  4. Punch down dough and roll into a rectangle. Spread with the melted butter, and sprinkle with the remaining sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll up dough and cut into 12 slices. Place in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan.
  6. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 30 minutes.
  8. Cool before serving.
