Ingredients
- 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 cups peeled, cored, and sliced apples
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate and crimp the edges.
- Brush the melted butter over the bottom and sides of the crust.
- In a large bowl, combine the apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice and mix well.
- Spoon the mixture into the crust and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the cold water over the top of the filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the pie from the oven and sprinkle the marshmallows over the top.
- Return the pie to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove the pie from the oven and let cool before serving.
