Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 cups peeled, cored, and sliced apples
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate and crimp the edges.
  3. Brush the melted butter over the bottom and sides of the crust.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice and mix well.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the crust and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the cold water over the top of the filling.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the pie from the oven and sprinkle the marshmallows over the top.
  9. Return the pie to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  10. Remove the pie from the oven and let cool before serving.
