Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  3. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Add flour and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in cheeses, salt, and pepper.
  7. Drain macaroni and add to cheese sauce. Stir to combine.
  8. Pour macaroni and cheese into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  9. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top.
  10. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
