Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, add the chicken tenders and pour the buttermilk over top. Toss to coat.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- One at a time, dip each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess flour. Place the chicken tender in the hot oil and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, brown sugar, honey, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning as desired.
- Serve the chicken tenders with the dipping sauce.
