Ingredients

  • 2 slices of whole-wheat bread
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 slices of deli-style turkey
  • 2 slices of Swiss cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, and/or onion (optional)

Directions

  1. Spread the Dijon mustard evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Layer the turkey, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and/or onion (if using) onto one slice of bread.
  3. Top the sandwich with the remaining slice of bread.
  4. Grill the sandwich in a skillet over medium heat until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Carefully flip the sandwich over and cook until the second side is golden brown.
  6. Serve the sandwich warm.
