Ingredients
- 1 can (8 ounces) pineapple chunks
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 12 slices bacon
- 12 whole water chestnuts
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Drain the pineapple chunks, reserving the juice.
- Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, reserved pineapple juice, ginger, garlic powder, and pepper in a bowl and mix until well combined.
- Cut each slice of bacon in half and wrap each piece around a water chestnut.
- Place the wrapped water chestnuts in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the soy sauce mixture over the water chestnuts.
- Bake for 20 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
- Add the pineapple chunks and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve warm.
