Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 ounces) pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 12 slices bacon
  • 12 whole water chestnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Drain the pineapple chunks, reserving the juice.
  3. Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, reserved pineapple juice, ginger, garlic powder, and pepper in a bowl and mix until well combined.
  4. Cut each slice of bacon in half and wrap each piece around a water chestnut.
  5. Place the wrapped water chestnuts in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  6. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the water chestnuts.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
  8. Add the pineapple chunks and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Serve warm.
