Ingredients

  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 200 milliliters warm milk
  • 50 milliliters vegetable oil
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced

Directions

  1. Mix the flour, yeast, warm milk, oil, sugar, and salt in a large bowl until it forms a smooth dough.
  2. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Mix the poppy seeds and diced apples together in a small bowl.
  5. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  6. Flatten each ball and place a tablespoon of the apple and poppy seed mixture in the center.
  7. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal.
  8. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
