Ingredients
- 2 steaks of your choice
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 shallot, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Place the steaks in the skillet and cook for 4 minutes on each side.
- Add the shallot, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the red wine and beef broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the butter to the skillet and stir to combine. Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
